Early Morning Sessions with the Baker’s

Our last day on Kauaʻi visiting the Baker ʻohana had to include a low key family portrait at Matamae and Kiyoʻs  “favorite spot.” We all have our wahipana (celebrated places) that is connected with our ʻohana, that we pass on to our kids, so of course I was all about the buzz of these hunny girls going to “their beach.” After 4 years of them moving away to the mainland, and moving back home again in what seemed to be the never-ending covid saga, it was a delight to be with them again for a long, lazy weekend, and to document this special season of their growing family. Time waits for no one, and one day too soon, these girls will be taking their children to the treasured places of their childhood. Not sure if this Auntie will still be shooting then, but for now I had the honor of being in the presence of such love. Thanks for inviting us in to your wahi pana Baker’s. Can’t wait to hanahou it!
