If youʻre a photographer than you know the challenge of large family portraits. Thereʻs too many variables, personalities, nap times that didnʻt happen, planned in advance locations that end up having a wedding happening despite being communicated to by the powers to be that the slot would be available for things to go smooth. Itʻs just part of the package deal so why would I ever expect or want the easy- so overrated 😉
I believe in the power of prayer and fortunately for me, the Teves family happens to be amazing, flexible, fun, and super connected- so finding a backup location in 20 minutes was minor, and it actually turned out to be pretty incredible. Itʻs in the challenge of curve ball circumstances, and the unexpected that stretch us and pull out the creativity and confidence we need to rise above. Itʻs these shoots that keep me on my toes, humble me, and cause me to stay grateful.
Grateful to roll with it and see what could have been such a hot mess turn into a hot-good looking family that keeps their cool and their coolers full of been even closer. Mahalo Teves ʻohana for such a great shoot!
